Nathalie’s walk

I arrived in Le Havre only a few years ago and fell in love with a town which continues to amaze me. It has a rich, varied and constantly changing heritage that can be explored on foot or by tram. By sharing my own particular favourites, I hope to give you some insight into a number of the multiple facets of the identity of this fascinating and charming town. Let us wonder at its varied architecture, from Art Nouveau to Haussmann-style buildings, from Art Deco to Auguste Perret’s reconstruction, not to mention the bricks in the historic centre or the rapidly changing port districts next to former industrial wasteland, and perhaps finish with a drink at ‘Le Marie-Louise’ bistro which is emblematic of an era…

Where I will take you:
• From the historic centre to the beach via the reconstructed centre
• The former docks which are undergoing a renaissance
